DCBA CRIMINAL JUSTICE AWARD
CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

The Criminal Court Committee of the Dade County Bar Association is accepting nominations for its annual Criminal Justice Award, which honors a person who has made an outstanding contribution to the Miami-Dade County criminal justice system at the state or federal level. The winner will be honored at the Association's 2008 Annual Awards Luncheon on May 7, 2008.

The nominee may be a lawyer or non-lawyer. Previous recipients include: Roy Black, Irwin Block, The Hon. Bennett H. Brummer, the Hon. Richard E. Gerstein, the Hon. Ted Klein, the Hon. Tom Petersen, the Hon. Janet Reno, the Hon, Katherine Fernandez Rundle, Rory Stein, the Hon. Kathleen Williams, the Hon Phillip A. Hubbart and JohnW. Thornton, Jr.

Nominations must include a biographical sketch of the candidate, a statement describing why you believe he or she is deserving of the award, and any other supporting material you believe would be helpful to the Committee upon making its evaluation and selection.

Nominations must be received by Friday, April 11th, 2008 at 5:00 pp.m., and may be sent by email to info@dadecountybar.org or fax (305) 373-6210, or United States mail.
